Ages - Fog (Nosaj Thing cover)
whoaaaaaa i just scrolled all around my dashboard to remind myself what the hell was coming out of my speakers. i knew i recognized the song from somewhere. if you’re not familiar with the original, maybe listen to this one all the way through and check it out — if songs are vehicles (which i supposed they are, in a way), nosaj thing’s ‘fog’ would be a submarine, with a muffled synth lead navigating the way atop submerged arpeggiation and subtly ominous sub-bass tones. lots of space, surely, but never quite this much — nothing really indicated that it would soon be converted into a noble classical guitar piece. ‘fog’ was disputably reasonable as far as being dance floor-ready as it was, but you need an entirely different element of swagger to visually present this one to the world. ironic juxtapositions of clothes, mass possession of LEDs, and blissfully flailed limbs probably won’t cut it this time. okay, ready for the original now? here.
pretty sure you weren’t ready for that.
