new eliot lipp single, 'the sunset,' released on pretty lights music (PLM) →
welp, they got another one. this is eliot lipp’s new track, ‘the sunset,’ which will be featured on his may 22nd release, shark wolf rabbit snake. i talked to him during the boat party during sxsw and we discussed the PLM move, how he’s been friends with derek for a really long time now and it was a collaboration many years in the making, especially with DVS’s increasing relevance to the electronic music world. he also showed me the cover image to this album on his laptop that day, which is AWESOME. eliot is a beast of a producer and undoubtedly increases the status of PLM and their talented arsenal of consolidated musicians. this track is good but i absolutely do fear for his music taking on that streamlined and ubiquitous sound i’m hearing from more and more of the guys on the label. (what happened to you, alex b??? i don’t know this paper diamond fellow) if that doesn’t happen though, then awesome….more free music and collaborative tours. congrats to PLM, DVS, e. lipp, etc.
