pretty damn good. sick album art. to be totally honest, after a few listen-throughs, i’m not sure it’s as distinguished as his previous efforts, a little less charismatic, which was my primary fear when i learned about his move to the pretty lights music (PLM) record label…but it’s still good stuff, free as fuck, and potentially there’s more goodness to be uncovered with future listens so i’m not going to judge it too harshly for now. ‘the snake' (aka the final, unfortunate link in the album's carnivorous food chain) is definitely an attention-grabber. i'll be giving this one more time, because i'm really interested to hear the evolution of his sound within these new circumstances.
