i’m pretty well versed in doom’s discography, but somehow hadn’t even heard of this one until tonight. same feeling i got after unexpectedly discovering his track with vast aire, ‘da supafriendz’ (remixed by dabrye), where i know that i’ll continue to be impressed ten listens later. i would actually use the word ‘beautiful’ to describe the ‘for doom the bell tolls’ part 45 seconds in, as chimes add a noble accompaniment to doom’s thematic lyrics. this track comes from a 2003 album called convexed: a nature sounds compilation, which was a mixtape that also featured tracks by cannibal ox and aesop rock.
