yeah, another one. this track is incredible, and let me to (FINALLY) pursue an online search for their unreleased material. i got a bunch, and reading to it tonight, much like writing to it in the past, is wholly satisfying and uniquely productive. everything just seems to resonate more because their beats provide so much space, functioning like the vast expanse of a canvas, providing endless room for development and growth. michael sandison and marcus “eoin” sandison, the two brothers from scotland who formed boards of canada back around when i was born, consistently offer poignant and vivid memories of summer night road trips across the country. i definitely wound up with plenty of exceptional music of theirs tonight, but this track, off of the appropriately minimally titled a few old tunes, really stands out among the greatness. 5:9:78 is usually a minute longer, but i really wanted to post the one with the fireworks in reverse….go here for a slightly longer version with some still-very-fascinating images. check both out in the highest quality video setting possible.
